Hard Line Product Inspection
Inspection at every stage of production for hard goods, from raw material to the final, packed shipment.
Initial Inspection
Raw material & shape
Checking the raw material of order items.
Checking the raw product shape and comparing it to the counter sample.
Mid-Line Inspection
During production
This inspection involves our inspectors visiting the vendor facility to inspect the production process, which includes polishing, plating, finishing, or packing.
- Comparing the finish of the shipment with the counter-sign sample or signed swatches.
- All ordered products (finished and unfinished), packing materials, and labels are stored in the warehouse facility.
- Our inspectors inspect all products and packaging materials and inform the vendor of any improvements needed, which the vendor resolves before final inspection.
- If required, we initiate a drop test: inspectors photograph the drop-test box, open it, and test for breakage. If breakage is found, the vendor must change the packing. A drop-test video can also be provided.
- Proper labelling is checked. For example, if a product has its top and base packed separately, the vendor must label correctly for easy identification and assembly on the buyer's side.
- Product material is inspected. For wood products the moisture level is checked and silica-gel pouches are advised in the cartons. Glass and stone thickness and quality are checked to the buyer's requirements.
- Based on feedback from previous shipments, we take corrections into account and send correction images to the buyer for reference.
Final Inspection
100% ready & packed
The final inspection is done when the shipment is 100% ready and packed with markings complete.
- The inspector selects a few cartons at random. During this inspection, 10 to 20% of the shipment is checked, and if a problem is found, 100% of that product is opened and screened. If the problem is major, the shipment is rejected and only acceptable items are shipped.
- Inspectors photograph all inspected products, packaging, and labelling for an inspection report, which is sent to the buyer for approval before the shipment goes out.
- We hold integrity highly and believe in complete transparency, sharing all details of product quality, labelling, making, placement, products, and final packaging images.
